Event Registration
The links to register and join events are not displayed here. They have been emailed to new students on Friday 18th and to current students on Saturday 19th and 26th. You can also find links in our Facebook group. If you still do not have access to both, please email at mcr@kellogg.ox.ac.uk by mentioning your University email address (—@kellogg.ox.ac.uk). Most of the events do not require registration. However, to attend the events that require registration, you willl need to sign up in advance. Places are limited for some ‘registration required’ events, so please book as soon as you receive an email about the event.
Virtual Participation
Most events will take place virtually at one of the two platforms below. The event organisers will allow you to join 10 minutes before each event starts.
- Microsoft Teams: We recommend installing Teams app on your device. If you have desktop, you may be bale to use your web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are supported). Simply click on the link (‘Join here’) under the event you would like to attend. Beyond ‘Dreaming Spires’: Oxford’s Complicated Past & Present [NEW]
7 PM | Microsoft Teams | This workshop engages with the complicated, less talked about, and often hidden facets of Oxford, offering an informal and relaxed introduction to difficult conversations. We will briefly explore Oxford’s historical links to slavery and empire and legacies of inequality, oppression, and discrimination on the basis of race, gender, and class. We trace change through time to look at the city and the university as they are now and movements for change in Oxford. Urvi Khaitan is a second-year DPhil student in Economic and Social History. She researches women’s labour in late colonial India, and is interested in how gender, race, caste, and class intersect with empire.
