The Kellogg MCR Committee (2013-2014)

President - George Taylor

I'm George, the Kellogg MCR President for this year - I'm a second year reading for an Mst. in Literature and Arts. Before coming up to Oxford I studied at Loughborough, where I completed both a BA and an MA in English (primarily looking at contemporary American literature). I'm from Brentwood in Essex, but hopefully you wont be able to tell... I play football, squash, and croquet (for my sins), and predictably enjoy lots of music. I live for dress codes.
My role is to coordinate the MCR  and its Committee, and make sure everyone of us at Kellogg gets represented properly within College (and in turn as part of the wider University). If you've got any questions or concerns about anything at all, please just be in touch! - george.taylor@kellogg.ox.ac.uk

Secretary - Elizabeth Li

I'm Elizabeth, and i'm Secretary for the Committee. I grew up in Denmark (though i'm English-Chinese ;) ), and did my BA in Philosophy and Science Studies at Roskilde University - I'm now in my second year of the Mst. in Literature and Arts. I really love Kierkegaard, and focus on the interplay between philosophy, theology and literature/arts! As secretary I keep minutes for the Committee, look after our constitution, and make sure events are organised as they should be! I was part of the Committee last year for Kellogg's Inaugural Ball, and am looking forward to lots of great stuff happening this year too!

Social Secretaries - Claire Moryan (FT)

Hello, all!! My name is Claire and I hail from a small town called Westfield in the beautiful state of New Jersey (laugh on, you naysayers, but it's true) in the US of A. I am a second year M.Phill student in Classical Archaeology, focusing on the Classical and Hellenistic art and architecture of Greece. In my downtime I enjoy loving life with my friends, painting, and I am an avid music and movie enthusiast. I also appreciate the Batman and everything he has ever done for society, including his graphic novels and movies.  Whether this news is a red flag for you or not, I am your social secretary and I cannot wait for the upcoming year! It will be a blast!!  xx

Finance Secretary - Yinka Oduwole

Yinka hails from Lagos, Nigeria and is a second year DPhil student in Engineering Science. Her research interests include nanotechnology, electromagnetic, Microfluidics and electronic design. She enjoys playing badminton and supports various charitable projects with a positive impact on the society.

Arts & Culture Officer - Maximilian Buston

IT Officer - Joe Haines

As you can see above, I'm Joe, the 'IT Officer' - which allegedly involves looking after the website and any IT related issues in the MCR. I'm sad to tell you all that I'm already slightly well established in the real-world, with a full time job at a company called Symantec. Luckily this is occasionally broken up by a part time MSc in Software Engineering and I'm in the final year. I'm originally from a small town just south of Winchester and have a BSc in Computer Science from Portsmouth University. In my spare time I like to socialise, I *try* to play football, squash and tennis and make some websites here and there. Any IT related stuff, send me an email!

Welfare & Equality Officer - Elsa Lau

I am a postgraduate student in Social Anthropology on area of mindfulness meditation and mental health.

My hobbies include hiking, swimming and cooking.
