Our former president Amanda Shiriwise, sends a heads up:

"OxTALENT is an annual competition to recognise University staff and students who have made innovative use of ICT to foster learning and academic practice. Awards can be given to individuals or teams.
Send in posters images and info graphics, the competition is still wide open and there are fabulous prizes.

The deadline for entries to the OxTalent Awards 2013 is Friday 17th May.

Entry is easy, and involves very little work – typically sending an existing item you have created together with some descriptive details.
This year there are six open award categories, and we would encourage you and/or your colleagues to enter. This year’s categories are:

Use of WebLearn to support a course or programme of study
Student IT innovation
Conference posters
Digital images and photography
Data visualisation and research infographics
Use of apps and mobile technology

The awards will be presented at Red Carpet Award ceremony on the 18th June. Winners will be profiled on IT Services and other University websites, interviewed by the University podcasting team.

This is your opportunity to get your creativity recognised, so take a look at the details for the categories at: http://www.oucs.ox.ac.uk/ltg/events/oxtalent2013/

If you have any questions about the awards please email competitions@it.ox.ac.uk

We look forward to receiving your entries very soon!
