Where do you reckon is the optimum place to chow down in OX? Other than Kellogg, obviously...

When I lived in Bradmore Road, I think I was over at Le Parisien and Chez Gaston in North Parade, like, twice a day. :p

Hmm... Alpha Bar in the covered market is one of my standbys, since it's nice and fresh, not to mention cheap. For burgers, definitely Byron (plus, they have ROOTBEER). But let's be real, Turl St Kitchen is my fav--they have good everythinggg. I especially like their soup and bread. And by bread I really mean butter with some bread on the side.

Best dirty burger in town is Pepperburger in Jericho (opposite Victoria Pub).
Where's Byron? I wouldn't mind paying my respects ...

What constitutes a "dirty burger"? Greasy goodness? Byron is on George St., literally right next to its archenemy, Gourmet Burger Kitchen (or gbk for short). It's pretty good (I like to consider myself a burger connoisseur) and the shakes are also pretty delightful. GBK's not bad either; they're a bit more inventive on the burgers you can order, i.e., burgers that come with toppings rather than toppings you add on yourself. Both places can get a bit pricey, but an added bonus for Byron is that Monday-Thursday you get a 20% student discount with your bod card. woo!!!!
*Please note I can't guarantee Byron still does this, but I'm pretty sure they did the last time I went during the week...although I cannot remember when that was.

Oh, I completely agree that the food, drinks, and coffee as TSK are all phenomenal. The Nose Bag down St Michael's St. is a fan favorite of mine. It's a little confusing at first (and not the Indian Restaurant next to it that always looks closed. NB's through the doors and up the stairs), but I have never had a problem with it!
I also really enjoy the Keen Bean's coffee down on Cowley Road. And the coffee at Zappi's above the bike shop down...St. Michael's St...maybe. And for some Covered Market fun, I suggest Georgina's. I normally only get the salad bowl, but I enjoy the atmosphere there.
Food rant done!
